Hamid was born and raised in a Berber village in the High Atlas, where many of his family still live.  After studying History & Civilisation at Marrakech University, Hamid realised his real vocation was working in tourism, where he could share his love of his country and culture with visitors from around the world, which he has been doing for over 10 years now. 


Hamid has worked as a trusted tour leader for many of the major European and USA Tour Operators and Travel Agencies, as well as leading independently arranged tours. 


He is:

a graduate of the Mountain Guides School in Tabant (CFAMM);

a graduate of the “Royal Moroccan Federation of Skiing and Mountaineering" and

certified by the Moroccan Tourist Industry;

First Aid Trained and

an expert in responsible tourism.


His native language is one of the Berber dialects, and he is also fluent in French and Arabic, and, of course, English.

Always good humoured, nothing is too much trouble for Hamid to do what it takes to make your visit to the country he is proud to call home, unforgettable.

Hamid is proud to share with you the authentic side of Morocco and has a passion for introducing groups to local traditions and village life, encouraging groups to be socially responsible. 

His long experience as a tour guide means that he has endless contacts in all aspects of your trip, from transport to accommodation, whether basic or luxury,places to eat, cars and camels to be hired and of course the best and most knowledgeable and passionate guides. He can arrange any trip length, or type but specialises in tours that include an element of trekking.
